I forgot my password — how do I reset it?
On the login screen, tap Forgot password and enter your email. We'll send a 6-digit code; enter it to set a new password and you'll be signed straight back in — no extra login step.
How do I verify my email?
After signing up we email you a 6-digit code. Enter it in the app to verify. Didn't get it? Check spam, then use the resend option, or contact us if it still doesn't arrive.
Can I change my name, currency, or pay schedule?
Yes — open Settings in the app. You can edit your name, switch currency (USD, EUR, GBP, MAD, CAD, AUD, JPY), and set your pay schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, twice a month, or monthly), which tailors insights and budgeting language.

What's the difference between Free, Pro, and Premium?
Free covers a single month with up to 20 expenses, 1 savings goal, and 3 AI messages. Pro ($6.99/mo) unlocks unlimited expenses, 75 AI messages, debts, recurring bills, and 12 months of history. Premium ($12.99/mo) adds 300 AI messages with conversation memory, unlimited goals/debts/bills, 60 months of history, CSV export, and a weekly AI summary. See the full pricing table.
How do I cancel or manage my subscription?
Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play, so you manage or cancel them there:
iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Paycheck.
Android: Play Store → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Paycheck.
You keep premium features until the end of the current billing period.
Can I get a refund?
Because purchases go through the App Store and Google Play, refunds are handled by Apple and Google under their policies. Request one from the store where you subscribed. If you hit a snag, email us and we'll help where we can.
Features & the app
Do I have to connect my bank?
No. Paycheck is built around manual entry — touching your numbers is what builds awareness. Linking a bank via Plaid is optional and only there if you want automatic import. We never ask for bank login credentials directly.
Why does the app ask for microphone access?
Only for voice input — so you can dictate a question to the AI coach instead of typing. It's user-initiated, never records in the background, and you can deny or revoke it in your device settings and keep using the app by typing.
I'm seeing a "Network Error" — what now?
This is almost always a connection issue. Check that you're online, fully close and reopen the app, and make sure you're on the latest version from the store. If it persists, email us with your device model and app version.
Your data, privacy & deletion
How do I export my data?
You can export everything you own as a JSON file from the app (CSV export is available on Premium). It includes your budgets, income, expenses, goals, debts, bills, and more.
How do I delete my account?
Open Settings → Delete account. You'll confirm with your password and a "delete" phrase, and all your data is permanently removed. Prefer us to handle it? Email contact@appsylabs.site from your account address and we'll take care of it.
Do you sell my financial data?
Never. We don't sell personal information, financial data, or audio, and we don't share your data for third-party advertising. Data is encrypted in transit and used only to run the app. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
